Today is a monumental day in the life of the SYTYCW Blog. Without this day the blog probably wouldn’t exist. No, I’m not talking about the anniversary of the end of prohibition (although there are times when our good friend, Vodka, have contributed to the creation of some of our posts. I kid, I kid), I’m talking bigger than that. Yes, my friends and dear readers, today is the anniversary of the Birth of Sue (henceforth shall be known as BoS).
Now the BoS has some historical significance, like, did you know that in direct correlation to the BoS, punctuation as we know it became obsolete? Yes, according to the Law of Sue (henceforth shall be known as LoS) punctuation actually does not exist. And if you don’t believe me, then you haven’t corresponded with Sue on Twitter or via email or, god forbid, have ever edited anything she’s written.
Another piece of history documented with the BoS is the ability to be the one woman in a house full of men. Well, obviously, this didn’t happen until much later but eventually Sue surrounded herself with six handsome men who waits on her hand and foot.
*whispers*
What? That’s not how it works at Sue’s house? Well what’s the point in surrounding yourself with six handsome men if they don’t fan you and feed you grapes all day? Well, that is SO Sue, isn’t it? Self-sacrificial and motherly to the core. What other woman do you know is a stay at home mom to five boys and still has time to have tweeted over 100,000 times since joining Twitter? Sue. Who else manages to get her four older boys off to school on time, her youngest to speech therapy, potty training, and make sure there’s a home cooked meal for dinner. That’s right, Sue.
Thank you Sue for being a superwoman, a supermom and a superfriend. We love you. Happy Birthday!
