Undiscovered Gems

Disclaimer: Please note that we from SYTYCW haven't read the stories we mention in Undiscovered Gems (at least not all of them). This here is mainly an opportunity for authors to pimp their stories. =)

Come Back To Me by Melolabel

SummaryWhen the fire of newlywed love cools, and the demands of life take over, how can you rise above the storm and resist drifting apart? Bella is drowning in a sea of doubt and loneliness while Edward has become so focused on his career goals that he is blind to his crumbling marriage. What kind of wake-up call will it take to get back to their happily-ever after?

Why you should read this story:
I'm trying to take a realistic, but hopeful look at what happens when the doldrums creep in to what started out as the perfect marriage.  You should read this story, because the characters and their experiences will resonate with your own experiences on some level.   They'll laugh, fight, cry, argue, love, rejoice, sorrow, and eventually come back to each other stronger and more in love than they were before.  The first bit is full of angst and drama, but I am ALL about a satisfying resolution, which is what I have planned for this story.  I've already had several questions and comments about whether or not there will be cheating in this story--No.  No one is going to cheat on the other.  If there was cheating then we'd be reading a story about Bella and Edward getting a divorce, and I know I don't want to read a story like that, let  alone write one!

Inspiration
David Cook song, "When You Find You, Come Back to Me",  Lady Antebellum song, "Need You Now",  Colby Caillat song "I Never Told You".  Really the first song, Come Back to Me, was the main inspiration.  I was driving along listening, and the basic idea of this whole story unfolded in my head.

What do you think is best about your story:
The "real"-ness of the characters, and the weaving of true emotions with realistic outcomes and timelines;  The fact that you can both love and hate the characters at the same time, and you're still okay with that.  And because Bella takes Mike Newton down.
