and most of all, this: I love this story and I love the Jasper "asperger" angle. My son is high functioning autistic and although extremely intelligent, he does have his obsessions and can talk your ear off "literally". You described that very well. Not many people have the compassion and patience to listen until "they" completed talking about their current obsession.
