Volition is NOT only a period Romance it is a period Romance set in Northern Ireland during the 1970s

It's Belfast, N.Ireland and the year is 1972. Bella's worried about her brother and his best friend, Edward, and their dangerous involvement in the Irish Republican Army. Is it really wise to fall in love with a rebel? Rated M.
Bella is a young girl who's brother is Emmett his best friend is Edward she has been infatuated with him since she discovered boys. of course Edward only sees her as his buddy's kid sister and has that whole sisterly love overprotection thing going on
What happens when Edward notices her once she is old enough for him to? what secret do Emmett and Edward have that they are protecting their family from ? How does the politics of being Catholic in Northern Ireland affect their lives?
NOW you may think this is just a romance fic , and well it has plenty of elements of Romance and idealism and love in it this fic is more of an adventure of the young people living in a politically turbulent era.
Tanja was the person that told me to read this fic one day when she and I were discussing different fics we wanted to see interviewed and featured here on the blog I wanted to snag Ro for her other fic With or Without you and T said YOU KNOW she also writes a period Romance story
and of course I was all over it I went and read the fic that evening and contacted Rochelle the next day telling her I wanted her for 2 of her fics
We set up a time and had a lovely chat in skype where we giggled and exchanged dirty pictures and talked about cute boys and fic

Volition I did for the age of Edward contest (my fav) takes place in N Ireland you have a lot of conflict and a lot of action and Edward with an irish accent is really hot

a love story set aganist the backdrop of the troubles in NIreland but there is a lot more to it than that and this is a really hard Question
Do you picture particular actors for your characters, or are they someone else entirely? If so, who?
Rob as Edward for Bella sometimes I see Kristen but a lot of the time she is faceless mainly because it is first person so the Bella does not really "see" herself
my Bella's hair is a lot longer it is to her butt
was the story all planned out or did you do it as a fly by the seat of your pants thing?
I knew what I wanted to happen in terms of major events like a checklist and I filled in the blanks but it was not outlined

after finishing the saga for like 3rd time I could not let go of the dream I googled Fanfiction and found FFnet and Twilighted and started poking around
honestly the fandom itself and the community itself that keeps me around

i don't have an actual background in writing, but i have been doing it since i wa s akid. stopped for awhile during the teen years
got back into it thanks to ff

How about your creative self-confidence? By nature writers tend to be a notoriously insecure lot so how are you finding the online writing experience?
i love writing. as cheesy as it sounds i don't feel complete, or like i'm fulfilling a purpose, if i am not writing
the first time i posted a chapter (volition's oneshot) i was TERRIFIED i cldnt believe anyone would like it
but now i'm more confident
even though each chapter posted makes me bite my nails
i'm not going to pretend i don't care about reviews/recs b/c i so do
i'm sensnitve like that sometimes all i'll say is: "ugh. so good."
Do you tell your friends and family that you’re an online author with a devoted following, or is this something that you tend to keep for yourself?
i'm pretty open about it. :) i have no shame, lol.
mainly my close friends. like my mother has read volition
uh, yeah. knowing she's read all my lemons is a leeetle awkward

What advice would you give to an aspiring fanfic writer?
be disciplined
set aside time for wriitng
read a lot, esp. "real" books
keep it real. cliches and pretentiousnes are obvious and yucky
